I had one great morning session at Gatorland a few weeks ago. We had a bright overcast morning so i took advantage of that to create some high key images. I added about 2 1/2 stops and Better Beamer at -1 as taught by Robert O'Toole and Robert Amoruso at the Alligator Farm workshop last year.

    Adam:

Lovely bird, good eye contact for an overhead. The stick is good.

I like the fairly diagonal composition of the wings in the frame, but just for the giggles, I might rotate the bird a few more degrees CCW so that it is more diagonal. Since you have a white background, I think that would be easy to try.

Thanks for sharing this good looking fellow!

Nice exposure on that white-on-white situation. I love the translucence of the wing feathers. There seems to be some purple fringing going on on the sticks. Selectively desaturating the magenta and red channels on those sticks only should take care of that. Interesting suggestion by Randy...

    Daniel:

Good pickup on the chromatic abberation on the sticks. I agree, the translucence is nice.

High key when done white on white is a real treat. You did dwell here. Good going on the flash to eliminate shadows. Love the branch, it gives it some life whereas if it were not there it might look sterile.
