    From Saturday at Shark Valley. Taken around 10:30am with harsh light hitting them.

    Nikon D3, Nikon 200-400vr @ F4, 400mm, 1/2500, Iso 400, Manual Mode.

    Nicely captured and composed Mr. O,
    Both subjects are looking in the same direction and both display good head angles and sharp eyes...the diffused multi colored background compliments them well...:cool:

    Love how well you handled the harsh lighting! The BG must have been close with the lens wide open at f4? I like the interesting look to the BG, but it has a strong pattern to it that pulls my eyes away from the herons. Love the comp!

    you got two sharp birds!!! and great head angles too. too bad about the light, but you handled it awesomely. this could be a candidate for a digital creation?
