Since it's snowing here in NJ....decided to catch up on a few Yellowstone images from my fall tour. Found these guys in the Tetons........and with enough lens didn't spook them and was able to capture a few images of this moment. My much earlier post had mom's head more parallel to the plane......although I prefer this one......as she looked at a fast approaching "photographer" with her point and shoot. Needless to say....she scampered off a few seconds after that.
around 3:30 in the afternoon with the Canon 1D Marklll and the Sigma 300-800mm lens and 1.4 tele at 1023mm for 1/2500 sec. at f8 and ISO 800 all tripod mounted with wimberly head. Manual exposure and manually focused.
Roman,
I like the bg. I don't mind the oof foreground. Infact, the oof foreground frames the kid along with the mother's legs. The image shows that the mother is on the look out for dangers. I guess a wide angle shot with the intruding Point and shoot photographer would have been thought provoking as well. :-)
Hi Roman,
I like the moment you captured here. Especially the opening between the legs on over the grass to the baby's head. Catchlight in both of their eyes is nice. I agree with a bit more contrast/sharpness.
