    This flower was modified by painting the petals with a watercolor filter, used a sponge layer and a plastic wrap to finish it off...the colors were saturated by two percent...:cool:

    Gus, I like the effect on the flower but I am not crazy about the sponge BG. I think if you select the BG and add a smart blur to it only at around 11 radius and 25 threshold it will separate it a bit more and your flower will be more prominent. I love the colors you've got on this!

    Hey Gus,
    I kind of like the textured BG (i used to do a lot of stippling in art school)....and the contrast of colors work very well together. The placement of the flower in the frame is very nice and you have a very nice seperation of the stamen....although I may darken the 3rd stamen (or is it pistel) a hair. It really does have that Hawaiian feel to it! Nicely done!

    Nice contrast between subject and BG Gus. It is a happy feel good image!
