    Default Saras Crane

Saw the crane wading through the water.

Beautiful bird, good angle and striding pose. I would crop some off the bottom, increase contrast and run NR on the BG. Too bad about the OOF green partially obstructing the bird.

Love the pose. I wish the water was a little cleaner. I would probably crop some off the bottom because the reflection isn't particularly strong and it will help clean up the foreground. I would also blur the BG a bit.

    Thanks.

I was in two minds thinking whether to crop the bottom or keep it because of the reflection. But as per the comment, I think I will crop and check.

There were some bushes in front due to which got the green spot. Will try to work on it and the background.

    Alex,
Can you please let me know what "run NR on the background" means, as you have mentioned it in the post?

    Thanks.

HI - NR = Noise reduction - you only want to select the BG - it smears the detail so you don't want to run it on your subject, a few articles over in the educational resources forum :)
