    Default Scaup Hen

    I'll leave it up to the experts as to whether this is a Lesser or Greater Scaup. :)
    I made this image yesterday at the local marina. The red color is the reflection of one of the boats. I don't mind it so much, I sort of feel it compliments the color of the bird a little.

    I like this one, too. Great angle and colors. I don't know if it is a heavy crop but it seems to lack a bit of detail (maybe due to resizing) and the whites between eyes and bill look a bit overexposed.

    Thanks, Axel. I neglected to check the settings on my camera after coming back from Canon--it was set back to jpg. I discovered it too late:( and I cannot do much with the whites here. I am still fiddling a bit with calibrating the 300 and the 2x together on the MKIII-- this was taken with no adjustment, I worked on it today--we'll see if it is any better next time out.
