Wow, now that is a close-up. Their pupils are star shaped, how bizarre, and not something I've seen in a photo before.

Nice detail, very cool looking eye, and some very bright yellow. An interesting and different comp but I find myself wanting to see, examine, and follow the beak to the end.

Everything works here, the diagonal, the detail and the color.

    Fabs:

Very striking. As an ophthalmologist, its very interesting to see the detail of the pupil. I will have to ponder the anatomy that causes such an irregular opening.

A fun look at a common bird!

thanks for being creative, it inspires us more linear thinkers.

    Cheers

Wow Fabs. Crop is fine as is to me. Super eye details. Love the light and gums. Just the image I have been wanting to create. You beat me to it!

I like the composition and pose and particularly the flower shape of the pupil. I thought the inside of their mouth is blue, no?

Blue is for breeding colors, Axel, they normally don't.

Thanks guys, the image is vertical full frame, just cropped some of the sides.
