I like the light and colors, and of course, the subject. I suppose going lower was not an option, would have probably spooked him, and wish he'd taken a look at you. As it is, better than any I have :)

I like the similar colors of the bobcat and the bg here and the fact that it is lying in a small pool of water. I wish for a bit more eye contact here.

    James,

I suggest cropping more off the bottom. I find the OOF FG catches my eye. He sure does match the surroundings - nice work showing that. Is the bobcat native to Peoria, Il area?

I love the scene here with him (or her?) resting in the water.

Love the pose and the pool of water. Yes to Robert's suggested crop from the bottom (to just below the lower of the two green bits of vegetation in the center). Some to most of the leaves are distracting.

OOF FG leaves don't really bother me as my eye goes right for the clarity of the water (like the way it "flows" across the image) and the cat. I do want to give it a little CCW rotation and I'd tone down the brightness of the green sprouts.

Robert, The Wildlife Prairie State Park has only animals, birds that were or are native to Illinois. Thanks for the C & C
