Sony A700 and Sony 70-400G
200mm, f/8, 1/4000, ISO 200
This was taken at 8am at Gatorland and the sky was pretty unattractive so I converted to B & W.

I like the silhouette but don't find the desaturated BG really attractive. What did it look like?
I wasn't sure about it either, but do you like the color version better?

I like the colored version, although it has some pink banding.
You can download a free version of Nik Color Effex Select, and check out the bi-color filters, they may pop this to the next level. The Complete version comes with point control, but it's more expensive. I love the filters and use them all the time.
I like the colored version better. It would be interesting to see what it would like using the software Fabs suggested.
Here's one of the effects. I used the B&W version.
Had to resize because it was over the 800 pixel vertical limit.
Wow!!! Fabs, that is great. I will immediately go find the Nik Color Effex Select software.
Was this the from free version?
I like both the ORIG post and Fabs' version. IAC, I would have liked to have seen the bird's right wing fully out-stretched and a better head angle.

Love it! Fabs repost is more apealling IMO, but both are great! I agree with Artie about the head angle but I do like the wings as they are :) Congratulaitons!
