The cattle egrets are just beginning to get their mating colors . I find them particularly beautiful this time of year and Wakodahatchee seems to have a fair population of them this year.

    Judy:

I like the composition, wing position and the soft light. Nice white control. I find the background subtle but complimentary. Very nice.

Very well done, Judy. I think Randy already mentioned everything I was going to say. :) This image has a really nice feel to it.

Great pose, soft light and eye contact. I might sharpen the bird a bit more.

Lovely wing position and the nice soft colors in the bg are a perfect compliment to the bird. I think the bird's head could benefit from a tad more sharpening.

Beautiful soft light, Judy. He starts to get the orange, but the colors didn't come to the lores yet. Pretty soon, I guess. The BG is killer. Agree on sharpening the face some more.

Judy, I like the way the head is not blocking either wing but it is the soft color that makes this shot.

This is quite an elegant portrayal of what might be considered a 'common' bird. A very lovely flight shot. Good exposure and the pose is great. I might smart-sharpen a tad but other than that - awesome shot. Thanks for sharing!

Nice subtle lighting on this that gives it a really nice feel. These incoming shots are the most difficult to AF and you nailed this one. Nice work.
