    Fantastic pose, but it is underexposed. Did you use any compensation at all?

    A remarkable pose! I don't think I have ever seen quite this view, and it is great. I agree with Fabs, that it needs a little tweaking on the exposure, try to bring it up a bit. Shadow recovery, after you lighten the entire image slightly, will help bring up the shaded side.

    This one is really worth any tweaking needed to maximize it!

    As mentioned, the pose is superb!! Very well timed :-) Another option would be to keep the BG as is...then generously darken the midtones and blacks on the egret and enhance the highlights that are present on it (in other words, lots of contrast)...could become very dramatic this way (I'll try it when I get home tonight to see if it's feasable).

    I like Daniel's suggestions Should work !! Dramatic pose ... remember to have the camera ready for the unexpected !!!!

    Fabs,

    +1/3 stop for exposure, will lighten the image and remove some shadows and repost.
