    Default Shorebird ?

I like this shot so I put it here instead of ID. When I was taking shots of these birds and some snowy plovers about 1/2 before sunset I thought it was a semi-palmated plover. However, the beak is too long. Some I am asking for c and c along with a ID.

Looks like a Wilson's Plover, and a nice capture it is! The light is awesome, and I like how some of the habitat has been included.

Agree on Marina's ID, beautiful light. Some people may object to the feet not showing.

Thanks for the ID help. The feet are a problem. I was near the roped off area at Ft. Desoto. For those who don't know, this area has hard packed sand. By staying outside and shooting birds inside you get the entire bird. However, that area was empty. All the plovers were outside the roped off area where the sand is very soft and (?) gully-ish. They walked and then sat down in these gullies. Feet were almost impossible to find.

Very lovely lighting and pose. The detail and eye contact is excellent as well as the low angle. I have had the same problem with feet but I fine it very acceptable both ways. Many thanks for sharing.

I would have liked the feet but I did leave room for the unseen feet. :)

Nice Wilson's Plover. It is a bit tight for my taste but not that much.
