Great Egret
This shot is taken in December 2007
In Greece South Europe
Canon 40 D Canon EF 500mm f/4 L IS USM 1.4x TC
1/1600 f 6.3 iso 200
Comments Welcome!:)
I like the pose and high key presentation. I'm wondering whether a frame might help since the BG is white as well.
Like the high key effect Manos. Dave
Ditto on the high key...very dramatic.
Very nice image, jsut for my inforamtion, was the BG as a result of post processing or natural, if so how did you achieve it.

First thanks for the kind comments
The BG is natural, the shot is taken RAW and i open the exposure +2,5 stop
My BG is the same as monitor and we can not see the limits of image!
Sorry for my english!!!
I'm curious, what EFL was this taken at? Was this handheld or tripoded?

Not a bad hold for 1120mm. You just settled a bet. Thanks.
Great job handholding that combo !
I like both, but #1 probably has the edge.
Maybe having the beak partially hidden by the wing in #2 is what makes the difference for me ?
Very pretty & artistic, a subtle frame might enhance this even more.
I like them both Manos! Great high-key effect combined with fantastic poses, well done!
By the way I don't really understand why some regard handholding this combo as an achievement at 1/1600 sec!? It can even be done at lower SS...
