My neighbor asked me to shoot a picture of her German Sheperd. It was rescued from a puppy mill after out living its usefullness after having over 10 litters of puppies. I didn't have a background available so we used her tablecloth! My backgrounds were misplaced somehow when I moved my office. Got some box digging to do.

    Canon 50d
    Canon 28-105 @ 30mm
    ISO 160
    Manual mode
    1/200 sec @ f 10.0
Two bare Alien Bee 800s on the back ground
Two Alien Bee 1600s w/Silver umbrellas at 45 degree angles. A one to two ratio between the lights.

This is a first for shooting dogs and I'm still learning. I needed to move the background back more and I feel that my lighting ratio was a bit too balanced and the lights needed to be backed off more to about f 5.6.

    All CC appreciated.

    God's precious light to all,

    Chris
