    A simple little image, but something about it compels me to post it. Maybe it's the eye contact, dunno... :o

    Captured at the Salton Sea. The usual harsh lighting conditions there at mid-day.

    50D, EF70-200mm f/2.8L IS + 1.4x @ 280mm
    Manual exposure, f/5.6@1/1600, ISO 200
    AI Servo autofocus, HH no flash

    HI Kerry - love that wingspan pose along with the eye contact - good job :)

    The colours look alittle off to me -- I am only basing this on the guys we get out here, seems like the blacks arent black enough and the red of the beak is destaurated a little too much. Or maybe it was just from the harsh light.

    Keep them coming :)

    Excellent dive angle...the color rendition on your Turn is good...you have sharp details and a sharp eye...goos show...:cool:

    Looks good to me just the bill a little funky I like the layout pose and you did nail the exposure !!!! They are elegant and make good images !!!
