Very nice image Jose! Nice flower perch, sharp eye, and good wing position. I'd like a little more eye contact, but I also like it as presented. The bird is looking to sky as it takes flight. I would add some additonal canvas up top. This image would have much more impact if you posted it at 1024 pixels wide.

Thanks Doug, I´ve changed the resolution and improved that eye (I hope).

Lovely perch. I like the pose. Nice colourful bird. A higher ISO speed, ie. ISO 400 would have given you higher shutter speed and would have helped freeze the wings better. Thanks for sharing.

This is gorgeous, I love everything you've done here. The blurred wings (to me) show the effort of the bird. What is impressive to me, is that you still everything else sharp, including the beautiful perch. Love the foot position too. I'd like to hear more about how you set up your shot, if you feel up to sharing.

José bienvenido a bordo y espero que nos muestres más imágenes de la avifauna Canaria :-)

Wild canaries are not common birds in web forums and it is very nice to see one image of this species here. I like the pose of the bird a lot and the perch and I don not mind about the blurred wing. I would prefer a more neat eye contact and the Bg is a bit light to my taste but you can tone down very easily in Photoshop. There is light area around the perch that seems to be the effect of D-lighting use or maybe its due to processing job in Photoshop. Keep them coming

Thanks Dave. No set up but the exif data you see. I must say, I stay quiet and visible at about 5 meters from the bush where the birds come to. Then when any bird comes, and this happens maybe every 5 to 10 minutes, I just try to anticipate where is it going to move, and with some luck I catch pics like this. :-)
