I haven't seen many of this type of image posted, so I thought I would put my toe in the water and see what you think. Capture was made in late afternoon in December and there was precious little light. I like the muted color range, but not sure if the background works with all the heads cut by the road. I was squatting in the middle of about 75 of these birds.

Cropped a bunch off of the bottom, did a NN pass and some USM.

Hi Kerry - like were you were heading - exposure looks good. Might crop it more pano style - would mean having to remove the tree.

RHS you have headless birds - which is a little distracting. I think this maybe a AL quote (In relation to things in your shot/photo)

"If its worth including - its worth including ALL of it"

    Keep em coming :)

..... and that came from Artie :)

btw does look a lot better with clean edges meaning no partial birds !!! Evicting several birds would make a stronger image. I would first try to do it in camera but there is always the post processing !!!

I like the image a lot and also like seeing the larger picture, we sometimes get caught up in single subjects !!!

I like the shot Kerry. The one thing I like is the goose going the other way. If you had had more separation between the rest of the flock and no geese cut on the right, I think it would have made for an even stronger image.

Kerry, I like this alot! Agree w/ partial bids being evicted-but I love the trees and their colors-has a real painted feel!!
