I've been fascinated by the dynamic gliding flight of albatrosses ever since I first saw them flying rings around our ship as I traveled to Antarctica many years ago. This Waved Albatross was photographed at Espanola Island, Galapagos where this species breeds. 20D, 300 f/4, 1/1250, f/8, ISO 400. Comments are welcome.

Lovely image. O like the colors and the sharpness. The diagonal compo is also nice.

Magnificent bird well caught. BG is superb and the light on the head and bill really captures that albatross look.

I like the gliding pose, details and BG and would love to see an albatross sometime. I might sharpen the bird a bit more.
