TDAA held an event this past weekend and I was lucky enough to be invited to be the OP.
I got to go out in the ring during warm-ups and practice before the "official course" was set, although this particular photo was from the actual qualifying run.
This is Soda Pop, the Maltese.
EXIF:
D3, 85mm 1.4
1/250 @ f2.8
ISO 6400 (no flash allowed)
I learned quite a bit about agility and was surprised that some of the faster dogs actually go up on the side of the tunnels when it is curved. Kind of like an Indy car in the banking turns. I want to back and set some lights to illuminate the tunnel to get some shots of that deep in the tunnel.
On a really cool note, my wife made her debut behind the camera at this event and pretty much smoked me in terms of final results. I just handed her a D3 with a 70-200, set the exposure and said "go make pictures."
Wow that is some wonderful action you captured in this image Jim. Love the expression on it's face aand the wind swept look. Congratulations Jim on a wonderful capture.
Thanks everyone.
Julie, I'll have to post one of hers too.
Funny thing is that I got a call yesterday about using some of the images from this event for promotional material. Three were eventually chosen, two of them were Tammy's! She won't admit it yet, but I think she's tickled pink.
