    I saw this fellow nearby and photographed it. Normally, they are a shy species and run away when we approach. Photographed in Keoladeo Ghana National Park, Bharatpur, India

    Canon EOS 50D, Canon EF 28-135mm f3.5-5.6 IS lens at 100mm. ISO 400, f8, 1/100, full frame.

    Neat looking bird, looks like you must have been close with 100mm. I like the movement here, might need to go brighter but could be my monitor, could use a better head turn

    I like the soft light and walking pose. It would have been even better with more head turn towards you.

    I understand this guy is shy, but as already stated a better head angle would have been a huge difference. Great walking pose, and you may want to open up the red iris a bit more.

    Good comments from above. Like your timing in this one Sabyasachi and the action you captured here as well as the excellent detail. Very interesting species and thanks for sharing.
