    I love the wildness of the blowing feathers, but the image seems very soft, perhaps out of focus or a large crop? Also would try to put the bird in the right side of the frame given the direction he is facing

    Hi Monte - nice looking bird and like the ruffled look. -- Generally speaking you always want more room in front of your subject than behind - so you need more canvas on the left hand side - gives you bird room to look into. Doing this you would then crop off some of the dead space on the LHS.

    Monte:

    Great hairdo (featherdo?) on the bird. I agree about the crop/subject placement, more room to the left.

    On my Mac, the sharpness is OK, but some fine detail is lost. Was this a big crop?

    Improvements are noted above. But I love the wind blown look to the hairdo.
