You were right, Alfred, when you commented regarding my last post that "I'm sure it's breeding behavior". For I went back today, a couple days later, and the same pair were building a nest together high up in the same tree, the same location, though it seems to me the perch they have chosen is a very risky one. In any case, I captured a few images of the activity and thought this one was interesting -- the little lady had quite a time incorporating that branch into her nest, but she did it. As you see my photo position leaves a lot to be desired, but I could not do better. It was an overcast day today, between rains. Appreciate any comments . . .

Hi Wendell - like the nest building behaviour -shame they are so high up in the tree.

Good thing though is --- These guys are going to be flying back and forth to the nest - Great opportuntiy to practise BIF :) :) :) :)

Looks a litle under exposed on my screen - would adjust your levels a bit to brighten it up a bit, would also then check and see you may want to take a bit of blue out of the sky as well.

    Keep them coming :)

Wendell give those birds a little time and you will be able to climb into the nest without fear !!!!!!

Check your histogram should be under exposed, that situation might take +1 for the bird ... sky might get blown but its ok !!! btw if you can get a a good sun angle with good wind direction (from behind) you will have a field day with those birds. They have to flair right into you !!!!

really sharp birds through all you had to shoot through!! agree it is under a little and i think the blue cast is throughout the entire image. now, i could only imagine what it would have been like to get that bird in flight carrying that massive branch!!! had to be a sight!!!!
