Shoted in Gran Canaria, Canary Islands. This little birds are really fast moving. I'm learning my D300 focus system with them, and it´s been funny. I hope to success in my challenge to get them feeding in the flowers in a "colibrí" way, but after 3 sessions trying I have to admit it´s really difficult, as the stay in this pose for about 2 seconds and you nver know wich flower are they going to chose. If you add I´m using a Nikkor 80-400 VR handheld...

Nice find and perch. The angle is a bit steep and I wish the bird would have faced you more and I might sharpen the bird more.

You have a wonderful perch here, José. As Axel mentioned, a better head angle would improve this image but I realize that these birds are constantly moving and that catching them in a five-star pose is a big challenge. I would play with the tones in the sky, some of the blues in the lower frame don't quite look natural. I would also suggest a somewhat wider angle of view as the bird seems a bit cramped here. Good luck in your efforts with these birds, I am looking forward to seeing more posts.
