    Default Carolina Wren in yard

The northward expansion of this species has made them more common in winter here in the northeast. In yesterday's snow however, I had one visit my suet feeder for the first ever yard appearance. 500mm F4 IS, 1.4x, F7.1, flash did not fire thanks to battery power.

Lovely mood and atitude, great ambient and light, BG and detail are great as well. I would only remove the snow dot over the birdīs bill. Congratulations!

I agree with the removal of the OOF snowflake at bill tip. Otherwise pretty darn good looking wren and a great pose.

Jeff, beautiful colors (the perch matches the bird) and composition. Very sharp. Beautiful.

Very nice Jeff. I'll vote for the bill snowflake removal too. I'm fairly sure that I've seen one of these birds near my feeders twice in the past couple of years but never when I have my camera nearby.

    Jeff...

Excellent composition, exposure and weather. The only thing I might try and change is the one OOF flake right at the very tip of the beak...otherwise, it's a gorgeous image.
