    Love the water and the simple composition. The bird looks a little dark on my monitor.

    Water looks very nice indeed. I would probably place the duck lower in the frame, somewhere around the lower left intersection of an imaginary "rule of thirds" grid. I too find the duck dark, and rather blue - some selective color balance on the subject would be good to warm it up.

    Color balance on the duck is key (color of the flash is too blue vs the main light source). I would also remove some of the space below the bird. Well exposed, nice and peaceful picture.
