You got a nice pose with good eye contact. The bird looks a little dark against the bright sky; perhaps some (more) positive EC. It helps if you post the complete tech specs along with your photos. I think the bird would benefit from some additional sharpening. And I might go with a vertical crop instead of a square one. Thanks for posting!

Nice find and pose. I agree regarding underexposure and lack of sharpness. I also see some color noise. I could see this as vertical crop, too.
