Took my visiting daughter to the west coast for a Florida sunset with camera in tow. A gathering shoreline roost of Royal Terns and Ring Billed Gulls was my payoff! I was waist deep in cold water (northerners insert laugh here!) and just missed a beautiful wing stretch as a wave hit my back. But I did get the shakeoff. Nice pose and details. Exposure looks good. I might clean up some of the shells in the FG, especially the one beneath the shadow of the bill. Perhaps just a little additional canvas behind the bird.
As always, thanks for the learnings. That's funny, I actually took some from the right to get bird more off center (Looking now, I agree with you, though). As to the rotation, it was actually the slope of the beach combined with the slope from differing erosion (at right angle to shore) that caused the slant; so I left it. I like the slightly diagonal wave lines it created.
