Hi Jeff - I like the pose, HA and eye contact, you have detail in your blacks and your whites look good.

Not sure about the crop ...

    :)

    Nice, very nice Jeff!!!

Not sure about the crop either. I like it as is but wonder if it could be stronger?

You nailed the exposure Jeff! Great pose too. I would sharpen the breast a little more. And I'd probably crop a little off the top. I know the bird is placed in the extreme left of the frame, and that conventional wisdom would be to add some canvas on the left, but I kind of like the way you centered the perch. I would apply some CCW rotation to level out the top of the perch though.

    Thanks,

Like always great comments. I have never applied CCW rotation (or any for that matter). Is this something I do in the crop cycle, I will read on this as well. I have plenty of canvas on the left side to move around if needed. As you know, even at 17 feet this is a small bird with a 400MM.

I am running noise reduction on the entire image in NN and then using the NN brush to undo on the subject. Does the noise reduction look adequate?

Very nice pose and exposure Jeff. Agree with the sharpening the feathers in the breast area. Would crop some off the top too. Lovely BG.

I tend to rotate and crop in Lightroom, but I also do it in PS.
