    Default Red-Shouldered Hawk going up.....

    I chased this one all morning determined to get a decent flight shot. I'm getting closer to what I want but not there yet.

    The pose looks good but the bird seems a bit soft on my monitor. The tree on the left is a bit distracting. I hope you will get another chance to photograph this beautiful bird.

    The pursuit is half of the fun Rich! You'll get your photo one of these days. In addition to what Axel said, I would add that the sky seems to have a magenta cast to it. Please include your complete tech specs when posting photos; it rounds out the learning process. Thanks for sharing!

    Thanks Doug and Axel. The color cast is so obvious now that you mentioned it. As for the sharpness I think its because I didnt quite nail the focus. The shutter speed 1/1250 so I think that was fast enough.
