Elegant Trogon
Trogon elegans
L 12.5" WS 16" WT 2.5oz (70g)
Male with bright green upper parts, head & breast.
Curved yellow bill. Tail tipped with black. Female
similar, but the green is replaced with grayish
brown. The breast is white bordering a red belly.
Habitat: Streamside forests in Southwestern USA
