This is a wild Roadrunner photographed at Cave Creek Ranch, Arizona, one of my favorite locations in the world.. He seemed very curious of me and my big camera rig. Full frame.

Great close up from a great place (Cave Creek). Sharpness is very nice, BG is good too. I really like the shadow of the birds eyebrow hairs on the eye!
The hard light really brought out the fine detail in the bird's head feathers. All those little hard shadows add up. I especially like the eyelash shadows falling across the eye. As others have said, you should probably dull-down that out of focus blade of grass passing through the bird's beak. Other than that, wonderful shot.
Nate, This is a very nice portrait of a Roadrunner, I have never had the opportunity to shoot one of these, so thanks for sharing -the details are terrific!!!
I tried to photograph these birds while photographing in Texas...but never got lucky...these birds are skittish and run fast! Very nice portait here...the detail is awesome!
