    Default Cherries for Gus

Hey Gus, I saw your series of photos on cherries, and remembered this that I'd shot last summer.

I like to put bing cherries in the freezer, and then in the summer they are like little popsicles. When you take them out of the freezer the condensation freezes on the surface - and I was trying to capture that..... But they were melting a little too fast....

We've been busy with family, work and the flu. Once I get my energy back, I'll start experimenting again!

    :)

Amy...I like the frost on the cherries. At first I thought they were sugar coated and licked my lips...
I also like the stem on the right which created a natural way of pushing the cherries to the left and offset them. To balance the image a tad better I would of added a little bit to the bottom...well done...

    Why thank you Amy,
I love a bowl of cherries...it looks really good...I can almost taste them...:) The color rendition is dead on, and I like the low capture...the turquoise colored bowl compliments the reds...good show...

Wow Alfred, Thanks for the compliment! I guess it's always good to go back and look at shots with fresh eyes....

I didn't get quite what I was looking for, so I'd passed these over. I went back and looked again when I saw Gus's cherries.

    Thanks for the comments, everyone!
