Default Ruddy Turnstone with a little snack.

Captured at Fort Desoto (North Beach). Fun to watch these birds, and certainly not hard to figure out how they get their names!

    Canon 1DsMII, EF 300 f/4L, f/7.1, ISO 200, 1/800, morning light.

Nice pose, angle and details. The little snack adds to it. You could tone down the whites above the right leg a bit more and do some CW rotation.

Sweet catch both of you Bob !!!!! The Rudy sure looks proud with his ant !!!! Excellent head angle to show sharpness on the catch I like it a lot would only suggest a better light angle to light up the dark side of the breast Excellent !!!!

Bob I'd be pleased with this image. Axel and AL have provided good PP comments. I might have considered cloning out the dark OOF rock near the bill.

Sharp, and a cool bug. You did a good job with a less than ideal light angle. Too many shells for my taste. Getting down on the ground would get rid of lost of the distracting BKGR stuff...

Whites a little hot, the bug really adds interest in the image. Very nice.
