Lovely pose, Denise, but the plumage looks rather discolored. Did you do S/H?
Adding a few points of black to the reds and neutrals in Selective Colors should help.

    Denise,
You are on a roll with your "from car window" images.

You have a near adult here with a regal pose.

The image looks sharp and well exposed. It also look like the image was created with the sun fairly high in the sky.
I recommend the first and last 2.5 hours of sunny days for the best wildlife images. However how could you pass this up?

So I would have captured the image and warmed it up a bit.
I tweaked the levels and used PS Photo Filter 81 to warm the image up.

    Congrats on the capture!

Beautiful bird Denise! I like the composition and it looks sharp. The original does look a little washed out and I think the repost enhances the image even more.

Lovely composition and pose, regal indeed, great on the perch, repost does seem to add a bit of punch but your shot is great.

Great pose, and I love that head tilt and glance off into the distance. I agree with others about giving it a little more 'punch', etc. Hope to see more.

Great pose Denise, I can see a halo around the bird, probably from the shadow/highlight tool, I'm not sure that was necessary as the browns seem fairly bright here.

Nate, I agree with the shadows and highlights not being needed-I let a friend of mine look at it before I posted and they said it looked dark-well I guess I should have trusted my own instincts more. Live and LEARN (i hope)
