    I had the pleasure of co-leading Artie Morris' SW Florida workshop last Sunday.
    We were at the north end of Little Estero Lagoon and Artie put us on "the birds"

    Near by building provided the water color with their reflections just before sundown.

    ISO 200
    WB 6670k
    Nikon D300 and Sigma 300-800mm @ 320mm

    I panned with the Great Blue Heron and pressed the shutter just as it's feet were underwater.

    Nicely done Mr. Shadle.
    This is a sweet capture...I like the soft motion blur...and the soft pastel earth tones and hues in the background, which compliments your subject well...congrats...:cool:

    James, I love that most of the image shows action-yet you've been able to retain some sharpness! I think that's why this works so well! Colors are gorgeous!!!

    THE most wonderfull image I've seen of this species, THE most wobderfull one, I even like it better than the perfectly freezed images I've senn here :)
