Looks pretty darn good Jody! I might tone down the vertical brown plant touching the tip of the near wing, and maybe the reddish area in the URC. Full wings-down would have been nice, but you've got great color with the wing as presented. Love the sharpness of the head and the water droplets.

Awesome capture... great detail, and the wing position is great so that all those cool colors are shown. Always love seeing your excellent images.

    Jody:

A lovely duck. I like the droplets as well. On my monitor I am seeing some sharpening halos, esp. along the back. Exposure looks right on.

    Cheers

Very nice Jody! Lately myself I have gone to iso 800 to get that little extra speed. Here that might have given you less wing blur in the middle of the wing I'm thinking, and put the rest of the overhead into the f stop maybe. When the day comes that iso 800-1600 looks like todays iso 200-400, that will be the day that picture taking of birds will change dramatically. The mark III does a good job at iso 800 under brighterclose in shooting and I sure am crossing my fingers for the next camera.

Ooops, what a cool blue-winged image. I love it. The bg and the blue wing panel somehow is in nice harmony.

Very sharp about the head and body, also like the water drops.
