    Something different from me... This young Mule Deer sporting velvet was captured in Sequoia NP. He was catching up with the rest of the family.

    400D, EF70-200f/2.8L IS@200mm
    ISO 400, 1/100@f/5.6
    Aperture priority, evaluative metering EC 0
    Hand-held, no flash, AWB

    Nicely done Kerry,
    I like the composition, image and capture...I like the fact that the doe is walking into the frame...he has a good head angle and sharp eye contact...the natural habitat compliments your subject well...congrats...:cool:

    gus, i think that's a buck:) note the antlers.

    kerry, in that low light, might would have considered bumping the ISO. a faster shutter speed would have rendered a little sharper image. it looks great the way it is. you handled the situation really well. nice job! i like the environmental setting.

    Hi Kerry - agree with gus on the techs - has a nice rural feel to this - like it.

    Maybe a touch of sharpening to the deer :)
