OK, I know squirrel week is over, but I thought I'd post this one just for fun. :) This is a very tame red squirrel accustomed to eating out of my hand. I was going for the wide-angle, closeup, distorted face look here as an experiment and I at least partially succeeded. The squirrel is almost close enough to touch my lens. Were I to try this again, I would want to get more DOF so at least the front legs were more in focus. 20D, 10-22mm at 22mm, 1/250, f/5.6, ISO 400. Comments are welcome.

a great image to demonstrate a squirrels native curiosity.
I like that the front feet are a bit oof, I think that accentuates the nose coming up to leave its mark on your lens.
I think it is a great sq image as is. thanks for submitting it.

I love this, too. And the DOF is just right for the distortion - his eyes are in focus, and that's terrific. I think he needs to use a whitening toothpaste, though.... :)
