    Default Ringneck drake

I was able to get out to Santee Lakes this past Sunday and was very elated to say the least to be able to get up close and personal with these guys. I will say the water was a bit colder than I expected. :D Oh and it was nice to meet a few of our fellow BPN'ers!

Its a beauty, Mike! Beautiful soft colors and great low angle. I have no doubt that it is a sharp image-maybe needs one more round of sharpening before coming to the web.

Great pose and angle. I agree with Bonnie that it looks a bit soft as presented.

Your image on pbase is 803 pixels, this one is 800, I guess it is because of the reduction.

Mike, I think this has to do with pBase more than anything.
I had it happen to me once. I fixed it by using xxxxxx/original.jpg as the link, as long as your original fits the conforms of this forum. You might try that.

Its gotta be Pbase. I'll upload the same shot to Imageshack and re-post and see if its any different.
I pull the RAW image into ACR and do sharpening in there around 45 and then pull it into CS3 for the finishing touches, which included using Smart Sharpen at Amount: 80, Radius .02 and a lens blur. It honestly is tack sharp on my computer and the Pbase image looks good as well... I'm guessing its something to do with Pbase???
Al, it was nice to hang out with you and Fabs for a while and a pleasure meeting Arthur and the rest of the bird hoolagans. :D Next trip may be down to Florida.

Here is the re-post through Imageshack... Any difference?

Mike, Axel is correct--that 803 image on pbase will be resized for this forum--and that is enough to thow it off.
BTW--it is a great looking image! I use pbase to host my images, I just make sure that they are at 800 pixels, otherwise it will resize when it gets on this forum.

Hello Artie, it was nice meeting you as well. :) I was about calf deep in the water and nobody was concerned, of course I was only in the water for about twenty minutes when I'd had enough of the cold water. :o
