This dhole (Cuon alpinus) better known as Indian wild dog, was sniffing the ground in Nagarhole National Park. This image was created last weekend.

Canon EOS 1D Mark II, Canon EF 400mm f2.8 L IS USM, EF 2xII, ISO 400, f5.6, 1/100. full frame.

    Look forward to you comments.
    Cheers,

Sabyasachi, I like the tight at low angle. But with only one leg in frame it makes it a bit unbalanced.

Great shot of a relatively unique animal, I am green with envy. I have to say I would have liked to see more of the head but I really do not mind anything is better than nothing!

I was trying to create a unique perspective. Hence the 400mm+2x. Also the pair of dholes (also referred to as wild dogs) came very near the vehicle. I didn't like the angle as I was constrained to shoot from top of the vehicle using a BushHawk (this was the first time I was trying such heavy weapons on a bushhawk). I will post a full frame shot later.

I would agree with Jasper on the other front leg not being in the frame. Looking forward to your wider view of this guy.

I agree with the other comments. The cut off head and leg arrangement do not work. This is not a unique perspective, it is an out of balance one.
