    Default Juvenile Red-tailed Hawk

    Been a while since my last post, thought I would share this photo and get some C&C
    Decided to leave my 1D MarkIII home and use my backup 40D for the extra reach. It was overcast and starting to snow when I found this guy.

    Mike,

    I like the snow, the perch is attractive, the stare is great and the crop is AOK. The bright spots in the BG are problematic (high contrast attracts the human eye - in this case away from the center of interest). Best bet would be to reposition to a more uniform BG if possible.

    Great find and angle. I agree regarding the BG and would give it more room at the bottom for the 'virtual' tail.
