Good job for capturing a pleasing environmental portrait, I love all that snow and grass. The body's pose is interesting but I wish that I could see a little more of the far eye. A couple degrees head turn would have helped here. I would suggest brightening the owl's head and adding contrast the his entire body.

Very lovely composition and excellent exposure. Would love to see a little more light in the eyes and on the body as it appears a tad flat. Did you use curves in your processing John? Just a little boost in contrast and perhaps a little more USM. Love the capture and would like to have this one in my files. Thanks for sharing.

I like the composition and exposure control, details look good, too.

Very nice habitat with all that snow and grass. Good composition and exposure. A tiny bit of head turn would have been nice, but I really like the image as presented.
