    Took this picture in the garden this morning. Canon 1 D Mark II, F400/5.6. F8 @ 1/3200. Tried to bring out details under the wings, but the result is looking noisy. Cloned out leaves at the top right edge of the frame. Thank you for your comments on improving the picture.

    Boosted saturation in this version as the colours looked a little flat

    A nice flight shot Amirtharaj. This is a hard one to expose without clipping either the highlights or the shadows. I would suggest that you try fill flash the next time you go out for these. This would help with both the detail in the wings and the white on his underside. Leaving room for the bird to "fly into" was a good idea. You might want to try some Shadows and Highlights in PS. Well done.

    Great find, gliding pose and eye contact. It looks as if the image was underexposed. More positive EC might have helped with that.

    What a stunning bird and a beautiful flight pose. I'd love to have these birds in my back yard! Black and white birds are an exposure challenge and provided you are close enough, fill flash would help. Was this a large crop?
