Glad you are having a good time in YS, SId. Nice catch, with the shadow of the three nicely framing the Elk. There are a few dust spots to the right of the image, guess from working in a laptop. Snow has a bit of color cast.

    Sid,
The layers in the snow gives a feeling of depth. As Favs has pointed out, the tree is framing the Elk nicely. Looks as if you have hung a backdrop there. Looks good to me.

The pose and light are very nice, Sid, and I like the way the elk stands out dramatically from the background. If you could have moved a few steps to your left, the elk would be framed even better by the distant trees.

    Sid,

I like this one a lot. Great BG and I like its blue color cast. FG shows habitat but is not overhelming. Exposure perfect on the Elk. Well done. Only thing I would suggest is that moving left would have gotten him framed better in the "V" shape of th snow cover in the BG and eliminated the merge of the left horn's tip and the "Y" portion and the darker trees on the slope.

Fine image Sid and great start to your trip !!!!

I like it as presented tweaking the framing is just a mater of taste .. love the eye contact !!!!
