You really captured a great pose here Joe. I like the action and outstretched talons. The eagles look slightly soft, probably due to motion blur. Going up to ISO 800 or 1000 could have helped here. You might want to try some selective sharpening in PS. Good job on the exposure.

    Joe,
Wow! Very impressive. Great job. While I agree with the soft comment, but I bet there was little time to make the decision to up the ISO. Is this a crop or full image? I would be interested to see what happened in the next couple of frames if you got them.

Thanks Roger. I do have additional frames, but they are not very dramatic. The eagle on the right made a hasty retreat stage right.

Thanks Joel, If I had the shot to do over again, the ISO would have been higher.

    Thanks for comments.

Great action and posture!. I agree on higher ISO - I usually try to keep the SS at 2500 plus for action. Background slightly distracting but still a good image IMO.

Wonderful action you've captured here, and the eagle on the right probably made a good decision to get away from those talons! I do wish the ISO had been higher to avoid the motion blur evident on both birds. I think it will be improved by selectively sharpening both faces. You can also improve the apparent sharpness by doing a little eye work. Darken the pupils and lighten the iris on both birds. I would also make the faces a little lighter.
