    Canon 40D

    1/60 sec. at f/5.6
    ISO 250

I took this image at Long Key the other night
    conversion in color efex
again not sure if the scratcy look will appeal to many, kind of a different look-was shooting for a B&W water colored look.

It is different and not your typical look...but if every thing were typical and conventional; what a boring and mundane world this would be...:D I love it...totally unconventional and pushing the envelope...my kind of thinking...:) Well done...

I love the comp and the pattern in the palm but not sure I like the 'rugged' details of the leaf or the b&w conversion. To my eye it just looks "messy." I'm having trouble finding a focal point because nothing seems to be pin-point in focus.

    Just my opinion...

    Hey Denise,
Love the thinking.....not a fan of the scratchy look. I just did a browser crop...to just below the whitish area in the UL.....this seems to strenghten the comp a bit for me.....maybe it just the bent palm fron and the whiter part that are distracting/pulling my eye??

Roman, You use that crop tool well!! I agree, not quite loving this one myself-but went to an art show and was inspired by similar shots-need to keep working on them or forget about them(not sure)
