    Egret inside the Box

Well, I can do them straight too, turtles with heads, bills pointing in the right direction... :)

Seriously, I just wanted to stretch minds a little bit with the other Egret. Going out of the box once in a while is good the the soul, it keeps one balanced and interested.
Do you guys prefer this one?

I think I like them all, but for different reasons! The absolute sharpness contrasted against the blurred background makes this image for me. It has a dreamy quality I love!

Definitely prefer this one. The pose of the GE is better here and both of the turtles' heads are visible. It's a pleasant scene.

I like this one as we can see the heads of both the turtles, and the egert seems to be performing for them!! quite a fine show too... awesome Fabs.

Very good Fabs. The only thing that disturbs me a little is the blur in the LLC that blurs the water even in the plane of focus. That is one impressive egret and the turtles look as though they were choreographed.

Both are just beautiful Fab and you know me I tend to go for the little different touch and the first one just took my breath away with it's simple beauty. I sometimes like the broken rules and so I go for the first one. Love them both though. Many thanks for sharing these two images.

a beauty for sure....I tend to prefer this comp.
Tony makes a good point about the blur in plane of focus

It does look like some selective blur may have been done up top and bottom left and I'm not sure the image needs that. I think this comp is just great, the branch leading out through the image and the turtles play a nice balancing act. Very nice, Fabs!

This is great! I love it. The egret oblivious to the turtles, attending to her grooming. The turtles oblivious to the egret, exchanging their private opinions on we know not what.

Fabs this is a wonderful image. Excellent composition and exposure. The turtles seem do seem to be discussing something. Beautifully captured.

Actually I prefer this one as well Fabs...although I love outside of the box thinking...I didn't really see that in the previous post. Your previous post was IMveryHO not that creative. No offence, but after seeing this photograph (which is much better), the other one just seems like bad timing, rather than being creative. It showed two wonderful species, but because the two little aquatic friends weren''t really cooperating there, it didn't really work for me.
This version however has everything it needs...This is a lovely well balanced photograph, with humor as well. A well seen moment and that preening egret is the icing on the cake. Great photograph, thanks for sharing!

This one is the one I like the best at first glance, but the other one made me stay looking at it longer so I like it as well actually. Congratulaitons My friend!
