Note: Harsh light and sun angle was the degrading factor. The best rendition acquired without my speedlight.
This squadron was gliding in high before their final approach, at Long Key Nature Center in Davie Florida. They were painted with a Nikon D70s, using a Nikkor AF-S 300mm f/4 D IF-ED lens, and a Nikkor 1.7 T/C.

The way they were coming you did well in isolating three birds !!! At times it looked like it was raining birds !!! Good from all angles, PS not shabby ! Big Congrats !!!
I'm ruminating out loud here but my first tendancy would have been to try aligning the bottom bird's lower wing to where it was in a position to point to the lower left corner and consequently get the center bird's wingtip a bit further in the frame away from the edge. BUT, looking at this again a few times today I can see why you chose the comp you did and I like it.
