This image was made in the Masi Mara Triangle. This is the result of a lengthy stalk that the lioness covered easily while we raced after her for about an eighth of a mile in a Land Rover, over boulders through gullies and bouncing across tussocks. This is the first of a sequence. I have cloned out a grassy tussock. This older slide scan has no detailed exposure information. Thanks for looking. C and C eagerly sought, I'm here to learn.

    John,

When I saw the thumbnail I knew this would be a spectacular image...and it still is...but I'd suggest you to make a proper scan out of it...as the poor scan quality isn't doing this any good.

    Hi Jasper,

I finally located the slide, and rescanned. Hopefully this is a step in the right direction. Unfortunately there is an oof grassy tussock in the way that obscures some of the legs. Hope you like this one better. - John

Hi John, I agree with Fabs here. Great action...but it just seems it isn't sharp. I thought it was the scan, but now that I've seen a couple of other photographs from your hand (which were sharp) I think it is the photograph. What a pitty...as this would have been stunning if it would have been sharp.

Agree with the above. Great action. Put the slide under a loupe and see about the sharpness issue before you do any more scans.
