Activity has picked up as Two Bald Eagles have returned to their nest which overlooks Skagit Valley. The last throws of Snow Geese have migrated into this area and are proving to be a good food source for the pair. The best angle of the nest from a photographic standpoint is on private property. I plan on meeting with the owner and hope to secure permission to move about with out much restriction in order to acquire additional images. I used my Canon 100-400L with a Canon 2X behind it which made manual focusing difficult in these lighting conditions, or maybe it's my eyes. :D

The details are not too bad considering you used a 2x TC on this lens. I find the angle a bit steep and for more even light. There is some color noise in the shadows.

My tree climbing skills are not what they used to be, that being said I could not get much of a better angle at the time. In short I agree about the angle, I jokeingly refer to it as the bowling pin effect. I trust after my meeting with the land owner more shooting vantages will open up.

Sometimes just backing up a few steps makes a big difference and the angle appears to be much lower.
